Matcha Cucumber Julep

Ingredients (4 Serves)

2  TSP
KISSA MATCHA BASIC
500 ML
HOT WATER (80°C)
2
ORGANIC LEMONS
1/2 VANILLA POD
2 SLICES FRESH GINGER
100 G SUGAR
1 BABY CUCUMBER

Preparation

You want to taste summer? Try this Matcha Cucumber Julep and you will taste the feeling. 

Force KISSA Matcha Basic through a fine sieve, add the hot water and whisk with a bamboo whisk until frothy. Leave to cool completely.

Peel one lemon and place lemon peel, vanilla pod, ginger, sugar and 100 ml of water in a small pod and bring to the boil. Simmer for 20 minutes. Leave to cool completely.

Cut the cucumber into wafer-thin slices lengthways. Cut the second lemon into thin wedges. Thread one slice of cucumber and one piece of lemon each onto

small skewers. Sweeten the Matcha with the syrup and serve chilled with ice cubes and the cucumber skewers.

Tip: add 4 cl Kalê (cordial) per glass for a delicious summer drink.
