CAN 21 DAYS OF MATCHA CHANGE YOUR DAILY ROUTINE, ENEGRY LEVELS AND MINDSET?

We asked – and over 150 german-speaking participants answered. 

In January 2025, we launched the 21-Day KISSA Matcha Challenge on social media.

The mission: drink one Matcha a day for 21 days to turn a mindful ritual into a daily habit and explore the full potential of Matcha. 
After the challenge, participants shared how it impacted their body, mood, and lifestyle through a short survey. The results? See for yourself. 

Here’s what the data reveals. 

WHO TOOK PART?

The results also offered a clear picture of the target audience: 

  • 88 % of participants identified as female 
  • Most were between 18–44 years old 
  • 87 % described themselves as active or very active 

TOP MATCHA DISCOVERY SOURCES

  • Social media 
  • Word of mouth (friends and peers) 
  • Wellness and lifestyle content 

These results reflect a young, engaged, and health-conscious consumer base that seeks functional products with added lifestyle value. 

MATCHA BECOMES A DAILY RITUAL 

A significant number of participants developed a new routine around Matcha: 

  • 73 participants drank Matcha daily 
  • 47 consumed it several times per week 

For many, this wasn’t just a 21-day experiment, it became a habit. 

CONSUMPTION PREFERENCES 

  • 63% chose Matcha Lattes 
  • 31% preferred traditional Matcha tea 
  • Most used a bamboo whisk or milk frother, which confirms that preparation remains part of the product experience 

99% SATISFACTION WITH KISSA MATCHA 

The feedback on product satisfaction was clear: 

  • 99% were satisfied with the current KISSA Matcha product assortment 
  • 93% plan to continue drinking Matcha after the challenge 

When asked why they chose KISSA, quality was the key factor. Frequently mentioned reasons included: 

  • Top quality and taste 
  • Reliable, consistent results 
  • Excellent price-performance ratio 

KISSA was perceived as a brand that delivers on both functionality and enjoyment.  

MATCHA HELPS WITH FOCUS & MOOD

The survey confirmed what has long been suggested by scientific studies: 
Matcha helps people feel better and perform better. 

Key results: 

  • 83% said Matcha helped them concentrate better on tasks and work 
  • 93% noticed a positive effect on their mood, with 
  • 59% describing the effect as very noticeable 

Self-reported effects on how participants felt: 

  • 45% felt more energetic 
  • 33% reported a sense of balance 
  • 11% felt more relaxed 

The combination of natural caffeine and L-theanine is likely responsible for this effect, delivering energy without overstimulation.

A WILLIGNESS TO EXPLORE MORE

Participants were also asked about their interest in new product formats. 

  • 86% said they are open to trying other Matcha-based products, such as snacks or desserts 

This insight highlights continued growth potential in both classic and innovative Matcha applications.

The 21-Day Challenge was more than a campaign, it was a transformation. 

Matcha is not just a trend or beverage. For many, it became:
