Matcha is the espresso of teas and preparing it is a self-challenge that is really fun.

What you need:
Peel
Bamboo broom
(Bamboo) spoon
Matcha tea
Water

How it works:

• Boil water. The hardness of the water can be crucial for the quality of the tea. We therefore recommend filtering the tap water beforehand (e.g. with the BWT Magnesium Mineralizer)
• Sift 2 bamboo spoons or ½ teaspoon of matcha into a matcha bowl.
• Pour about 150ml of hot water over the matcha. Important: Your matcha doesn't like it too hot. Make sure you let the water cool down to 80°C - hotter water will dissolve the bitter substances in the green tea.
• Now whip the matcha with a bamboo whisk until it forms a fine crema. Now sit back and enjoy.

Tip: Fancy a matcha latte? Simply pour the matcha into frothed, warm milk (soy milk, oat milk or almond milk are particularly good).

• Pour it into the glass with the milk to create a great layered look !
