L-Theanine and its effects
L-theanine is an amino acid found almost exclusively in tea plants and is found in high concentrations in Matcha. It promotes the production of alpha waves in the brain, which are associated with a relaxed but alert state. Studies have shown that L-theanine has the ability to reduce stress and anxiety without causing drowsiness¹ ².
The combination of caffeine and L-theanine
The caffeine in Matcha provides a gentle energy boost that lasts for a longer period of time. Unlike other caffeinated beverages such as coffee, which often cause a sudden drop in energy, the combination of L-theanine and caffeine provides a stable and clear mental focus¹. This is especially useful for people who need concentration during long work days or when performing mentally demanding tasks.
Improved cognitive performance
Matcha can boost cognitive performance by improving attention and memory. In studies, participants who regularly consumed Matcha performed better on cognitive tests, particularly in terms of attention, reaction time and information processing².
By regularly consuming Matcha, people can improve their mental clarity and concentration while reducing stress.
