Golden on the outside, delicately green on the inside – with a smooth KISSA Matcha filling for that extra special twist.
Ingredients:
For the dough:
- 1 pack Bauck Mühle Burger Bun Brioche baking mix
- 1 sachet dry yeast
- 225 ml lukewarm water
- 50 g vegan butter
- 10 g sugar
- A little flour for shaping
- 4 tbsp plant-based milk
For the filling:
- 1 tsp KISSA Matcha Basic
- 60 g vegan butter, softened
- 100 g sugar
Preparation
- Make the dough:
Add the baking mix and dry yeast to a large bowl and stir together. Add water, vegan butter, and sugar, then knead everything into a smooth dough using a hand mixer with dough hooks. - Let it rise:
Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare the Matcha filling by mixing the softened vegan butter, sugar, and KISSA Matcha until smooth. - Fill & braid:
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle (approx. 20 x 30 cm). Spread the Matcha filling evenly over the dough, leaving about 2 cm of space around the edges. Roll it up tightly from the short side. Slice the roll lengthwise with a sharp knife and gently twist the two strands together. Place the twist in a loaf pan lined with parchment paper or greased. - Final rise:
Cover again and let it rise for another 45 minutes in a warm place. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). - Bake:
Brush the top of the twist with 2 tbsp of plant-based milk and bake for approx. 40 minutes in the preheated oven. After 25–30 minutes, check the top and cover with foil if it starts to brown too much.
Tip:
Best enjoyed fresh and slightly warm – ideally with a creamy Matcha Latte on the side. 💚
