Ingredients Matcha Cucumber Julep

Ingredients for 2 people:

  • 2 tsp KISSA Matcha Basic
  • 500ml hot water ( 80°C)
  • 2 organic lemons
  • 1/2 vanilla pod
  • 2 slices of fresh ginger
  • 100g sugar
  • 1 mini cucumber

Preparation of Matcha Cucumber Julep

  1. Finely sieve KISSA Matcha Basic, pour hot water over it and beat it with a Matcha whisk until foamy. Then allow to cool completely.
  2. Thinly peel the rind of a lemon and cook it with the vanilla pod, ginger, sugar and 100 ml of water in a small saucepan for about 20 minutes to make a syrup, then allow to cool completely.
  3. Cut the cucumber lengthways into thin slices. Cut the second lemon into thin wedges. Skewer a cucumber slice and a lemon strip onto a wooden skewer. Sweeten the KISSA Matcha Basic with the syrup and serve well chilled with ice cubes and the cucumber skewers.

Tip: 4 cl Kalê (herbal liqueur) per drink rounds off the Julep in the finest way.
